"Those in analysis have a different relationship with what we call destiny" - Sigmund Freud
What is Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy?

Psychoanalytical psychotherapy is an instrument that facilitates self-understanding and insight, helps the patient become aware of hidden meanings or patterns, that allows the process of personal transformation and the search for a meaning of life.

The psychoanalytical approach seeks the person as a whole and not just relieve symptoms in current life circumstance. The therapeutic process involves exploring underlying issues and causes that aim to help the patient make deep changes in personality and emotional development, alongside relieving or even extinguishing troubling symptoms. It is a journey for both patient and therapist.

From birth and in the course of our development, the “mental structure” begins to take shape - the way we perceive the world, how we live relationships, react and solve issues throughout life.
Our mental structure is mostly unconscious and can cause suffering in the way we perceive and react to the world. It is through the patient's speech that the psychotherapist is able to understand his dynamics of functioning, helping the patient to have a sense of self, as "a spectator of himself".

Who is it for?
All people can benefit from an analysis, however, people usually consider it when anguish and suffering reaches high levels.

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy can help with a range of psychological problems, particularly difficulties that can impact and reduce quality of life, such as:

-
Anxiety
-
Anguish
-
Depression
-
Discouragement
-
Sense of not belonging
-
Difficulties in relating
-
Constant sadness
-
Stress
-
Mourning
-
Etc.

Sobre mim
Cassandra Rosen

I graduated in Educational Psychology. Throughout my career and my personal life, I realized that diagnosing and working on the various learning problems was not enough. Looking at the person as a whole, and his life course, showed the best way to understand and help to overcome many of the difficulties.

The passion for psychotherapy was becoming evident, ending up later on taking training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
